What is your guest capacity?

The Secret Gardens has Ceremony & Reception spaces available for up to 130 guests. *150 absolute maximum if you utilize the overflow decks that are not under the covered dining pavilion. 

 

What is included in the rental fee?

You get one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the U.S.A. 

The advertised pricing of The Secret Gardens also includes the following:

- Wooden foldable chairs.

- Plastic tables (60" Rounds, or 6ft rectangular).

- Heaters and propane. 

- Private ceremony area with guest seating across the seasonal Johnson Gulch Creek.

- Bar Area with main bar table and a separate appetizer table. 

- Dining Pavilion *FEATURES A NEW ROOF 2024*  

- Decorative lighting through the property. 

- Decorative water fountains. 

- 2 dressing rooms.

- Our famous Bird Nest. (Exclusive space for the couple to start cocktails after the ceremony and wave to the guests as they transition from the ceremony to the reception area)

- Dance floor. 

- Rustic outdoor catering prep area. *NOT AN INDUSTRIAL KITCHEN*

- Restrooms.

- Potable water.

- 48 + 4 vehicles parking spaces.

- Bring your own alcohol (No corkage fee).

- Rotating seasonal flowerpots around the property for upmost beauty (little decoration needed from your part).

- 1 hour of rehearsal the Friday before the wedding. 

- Multiple free sessions of pre planning visits leading up to rehearsal and wedding/event day. 

- Excellent customer service ready to go the extra mile for you. 

- Music off at 10 p.m. for all events. 

Our advertised prices are the most unrestrictive package for advanced booking on our website. Other packages can be created to your needs at our discretion, but some areas/amenities of the property may not be available based on the individual terms of the contract agreement. 

How do I reserve the date for my event?
$500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your event date.

30-Days before the event, the following conditions must be completed:

a) The remaining rental rate balance must be paid off in full to the venue owners.
b) + $950 Refundable Security Deposit. 
c) Insurance coverage certificate for your event must be turned in. See www.theeventhelper.com for insurance quotes.

How much does it cost to hire a vendor through you?

Bodega Bay Secret Gardens does not sell the services of vendors.  We simply provide referrals of established vendors our guests have used in the past.  We suggest that you contact all vendors directly and make the decision that you feel is best for you.  Vendors not on our list are welcome as well, however, unestablished vendors with the Bodega Bay Secret Gardens must visit, at least once, prior to the event to familiarize themselves with the venue. We are not responsible or associated with contracted vendors. 

Can you create a small, intimate setting at your venue?

The Secret Gardens can be decorated to your liking. From a small wedding or other event type up to 130 guests, feel free to create your own wedding/event vibes. Discuss with the manager any concerns about the venue so that we can meet your expectations. 

We are a LGBTQ+ Friendly venue.

What will I have to provide for my own event?

- Food & beverage caterer.

(Keep in mind we do not have an INDUSTRIAL KITCHEN; we offer an outdoor rustic prep area only. Any caterer unfamiliar with our property must visit at least once prior to signing any service agreements).

- Table cloths, dishware, glassware, silverware, etc. 

- Wedding planner/coordinator. (Recommended, not required).
- Decoration/signage for your personal touch.
- Live bands, DJ or other entertainment (Music off at 10 p.m. for all events).

- Photography/video.

- Transportation.

- Overnight accommodations.
- Any other services not listed or mentioned. (All vendors hired must be disclosed to management).

What is the parking lot address?

1555 Eastshore Rd, Bodega Bay, CA. (General Parking Lot)

Then walk to the venue, distance is equivalent to half a block to The Secret Garden entrance. 

Vehicles may remain overnight on an event-by-event basis. Consult with the manager what the current situation is for your event.

What is the nearest overnight accommodation?

See Bodega Harbor Inn or Bodega Bay Inn. (Walking distance to the venue). 

Bodega Bay is a hotspot to visit for a weekend and more lodging is available within driving distance. The town features multiple large and boutique hotels to stay at. In addition, there are numerous privately owned properties available via Airbnb or similar websites.

Are there campgrounds nearby?

Yes, across the street from us you can stay at Porto Bodega Marina & RV Park and there are more campgrounds nearby like: 

- Bodega Bay RV Park,

- Bodega Dunes Campground,

- Westside Regional Park,

- Doran Beach Campground.   

Do you have ocean view?

No. However, there is access to Porto Bodega Marina across the street from us and is great to take a walk and find unique picture opportunities with Bodega Bay, wildlife and boats docked at the Marina. Many beautiful beaches with stunning views of the ocean are a short driving distance ready to be explored: 

- Bodega Head Trailhead

- Doran Beach

- Bodega Dunes Beach

- North Salmon Creek

- Coleman Beach Overlook

- Arches Rock Vista Point

What is the nearest airport?

 Sonoma County Airport (STS) 25 Miles from The Secret Gardens

- American Airlines 

- Avelo Airlines 

- Alaska Airlines 

- Sonoma Jet Cente

Kaiser Air Santa Rosa Jet Center 

(Major car rental companies at this airport, too).

(SFO/OAK are 70 miles away and have the most nonstop/schedules. SMF/SJC are 90 miles away).
